I don't use those cheap foam things, but proper musicians ones, you can still hear it properly, I think mine were about £20, like a of of these things, you can spend pennies, or get custom ones, my mate in a band has custom ones, they took a mould of his ear so they look wierd :)£20 seemed a reasonable price for something that doesn't get used much any more, rather than £100s

they were amazing, it was a smaller venue than most of their current shows which helped, not sure what a gig at Eden Project would be like!

tickets sell out for their shows very quickly.

funny thing is he mentioned that last time he played here, was in a pub, and only 7 people were there, "don't lie to me, none of you f***ers were there, it's just like the Sex Pistols story, where thousands of people claim to be at a gig only a handful went to" :)

this was at full capacity, 700, but the venues on the tour proper I think are a couple of thousand?

Friday:
James - Good but didn't have enough time to play Laid :(
Tom Jones - Did some nice different versions of his well known songs, and some new stuff
Liam Gallagher - Good but didn't stay to the end, band doesn't feel like Noel's, but nice to hear Liam singing Oasis hits.

Saturday:
Lightning Seeds - All hits, even played Three Lions (they very rarely do this), really enjoyed them again
All Saints - Really enjoyable, dedicated a song to Sarah Harding which was nice
The Manor - Wow that bass
Maximo Park - I realised today how much of the heavy lifting the lead singer does performance wise, it's a good band but he is the visual entertainment
Snow Patrol - Brilliant, highlight of the festival for me

Been using a pair of the Elacin ER20 for years. Good quality, really do bring the volume down a bit and tame that harsh top end you get in some venues from cymbals. Doesn't dull the sound just takes the piercing edge off.

Supergrass (really enjoyed them!)
The Script (second time I've seen them, second time I've thought meh)
Duran Duran (second time I've seem them too, really enjoyed them this time, much better set!)
