How to tell if your Samsung TV has been hacked

TL;DR... when it goes into standby, if there is a blue led still lit around the back, someone is spying on you!

But don't be too paranoid, to hack your TV requires USB access.

I know someone who won't have a smartphone because "THEY" can follow his movements because of the GPS in the phone. It drives me crazy because as I've said to him, "yeah, but who gives a dam where you go & what you do?". His reply is "well if I don't have one, no one can!". Grrrr, why would anyone want to listen or follow most of us.

yeh, my SMS trail would be as interesting as Snap's TV conversations, mostly consisting of

"can you get milk/bananas/bread on the way home"
or
"I'm going to be late."

I used to work with some-one who didn't have a Nectar, Clubcard etc as he didn't want "them" to know what he was buying.  I pointed out it's actually quite useful if there's a product recall etc. as well as the money saving benefits.

Although where I used to work they had a Samsung TV for video conferencing, and that had a camera etc built into it, so IT were worried about that, despite plugging in video conferencing stuff!

Bandi is busy laughing at all his 'non believer' friends, he'll be along soon.
