You may find that after a week you turn it back on again for some peace and quiet. ;)
I've got a 3D projector, I've seen the first two Hobbits, Avatar, Gravity, some animated movies and others on it, and it really is a nice-to-have rather than a wow experience.
Never been to the cinema for a 3D movie though (well unless Alton Towers counts, no, no it doesn't) so I'm not sure how that would compare. Does having a gigantic screen make the 3D more exaggerated?

Never seen a movie at the cinema in 3D and don't really see what it would add. Films I have seen that that were available in the 3D had annoying bits in that were so obviously added just because it was 3D. O.k as a novelty thing in Florida for T23D or The Muppets but at home on the sofa? I'd rather have a decent plot.

Forgot about that.
Even with the water spray and puffs of air it obviously failed to make a huge impression.
