Page 1 of House of the Dragon

Episode 1 served up the usual mix of blood, boobs and bums.

Not sure I'm really invested in any of the main characters yet but it seems fairly obvious who we're supposed to love and hate.
The Jury is still out.

After this weeks episode, I spent quite a few minutes thinking...

SPOILER:
Is this a flashback? Or a flash forward? What happened? Oh nothing actually happens the entire episode. What on earth is going on, why does everyone look different apart from two or three characters.

I was sad to see Milly Alcock go but Emma D'Arcy made the role her own in the matter of a couple of scenes. Such a great screen presence!

As for the rest of the show, on the one hand it reminds me of the glory days of Game of Thrones, back when it was about medieval political manoeuvring and not giant CGI battles. At the same time I can't help but feel that I've seen it all before :/

Catching up on this, watching episode 8 and... I'm struggling. I hear good things about episode 9 (with GoT it was always ep 9 that the big thing happened), so maybe it will pick up.
