I didn't know what to think when it all first began - but it seems that AH has somewhat embelished things. 

I had to deal with domestic violence from my ex-wife, she always said to me no one would believe me as I was a 6' 1 big guy and she was a woman...
So this is my sympathy with JD - whether she raised a hand to him or not, the point is she purposely went out there to ruin his career.

i just saw a link a video of the ex TMZ guy, and the 15mins of fame accusation, which he hurls back at the lawyer much to most people's amusement.

I've not paid much attention, just heard bits on the news, but I don't think anyone will come out well at the end, although I see Depp has been on stage playing with some of his celebrity mates, so even if Disney won't Jack Sparrow him any more, he'll be ok

I am waiting patiently to hear back from the
Jury’s verdict. I don’t know who to be-
lieve , it’s bad either way you look at it.
If he is lying he fooled everyone including
his fans. ,, If she lie she made it bad for
real abused women to be believed.
Or maybe this should be in a private setting
like England court did and have a Judge
handle it , which I heard Johnny Depp lost
And found by the Judge he is guilty. And thats
why he issue this trial in America.

Verdict has been reached, will be read at 3pm EST / 8pm BST

Jury called in. Judge reads verdict. Calls lawyers forward, then tells the jury they need to go back out and fill out a part of the form they missed out, namely the amount of compensatory damages that should be paid, which can be a token sum of a dollar.

But I'm not sure the mics should have been turned back on then , as the judge mentioned 'defamatory statements' - which is what Johhny's team were argueing about.

Verdict still to come. Johhny isn't there as he's over here doing gigs with Jeff Beck.

Bit confusing. Johnny's been awarded $15 million (10+5) as all of Amber's claims have been found false.

Amber has been awarded $2 million (2+0) as one claim by Johhny (about Amber & her friends manufacturing a 'crime scene' was found false

Then the judge mentioned something about capping the award st £350,000, but not sure what that means

They awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, but there is a cap of $350,000 on punitive damages in that state.

Minus the $2 million that Heard was awarded due to the false statements about the crime scene, in total Depp receives $8,350,000 and a clear name.

I'm sure he will be enjoying a megapint or two this evening.

I can't help but think Amber Heard has lost this case in large part because people have seen her as unlikeable, which from a justice point of view should be irrelevant.

EDIT: Actually she won some counts I think? But that's all gotten lost in the circus
