Page 1 of The Bitcoin millionaire who accidentally lost it all
...although he never actually got his hands on the money.
This story is a few years old but cropped up again probably because Bitcoin reached a record value (and then dropped again).
Guy accidentally chucks away harddrive with 7500 bit coins on it in 2013. When he initially mined them years before, they weren't worth much so didn't pay much attention to them. They then skyrocket in value to several million. He has continually asked if he can search and excavate local tip to find drive. Council refused. He offered them a share of the money. They still refused (they have reasons, not just being difficult).
Cut to now: His missing Bitcoins are now worth around £210 million! Council will still not allow him to search. Man now spends rest of his life banging his head against a wall.
All the council workers will now be secretly digging up the dump at night LOL
Bitcoin millionaire who accidentally lost everything. This is, of course, very sad, but do not be discouraged by such a loss. At the moment, people really appreciate Bitcoin and everything related to it. Bitcoin is still a very popular currency to this day. Any of us can lose everything, but even with a loss, you can recoup. Personally, it seems to me that people just don't understand how to use cryptocurrency and a trading platform for a lot of money. Now I use only one site, which for me at the moment, due to the pandemic, is a way of making money. The site I am using is called the SPAM URL REMOVED.

Not the same thing but does anyone use any of these share trading apps like 212 that I've seen mentioned alongside the Gamestop hoo hah.
