I am genuinely unsure of what the rules are right now for the general UK population.

What is it exactly you want to do that you think the rules are not clear enough for?

Genuine question.

I know Alfie. Like millions and millions of others.
Things have ended, things have started. Things that should be OK suddenly now aren't. Businesses that could open now can't. Weddings that have been arranged and could happen now can't. I can cut your hair but not your eyebrows. Logic seems to be put of the window.
I'd also be confident that Si wouldn't be able to answer some of them without help either (and I certainly couldn't be arsed asking any) but I won't let that get in the way of more veiled 'What, how dare you criticise this government?!?!' responses.
(and then a 'What, not everything they do is perfect...'..) Corbyn/Starmer blah blaaaah.
Zzzzz

You may well be right on the former, but you couldn't be more wrong on the latter but hey ho...

...I have no problem is criticising the government where I think they've done something wrong regardless of what you might think.  I spent a long time criticising the last two governments, both of which were Conservative, but because most of that was over the over thread that won't count.

Well, I always have been worried specially with how the US is handling the virus. This just keeps getting worse and worse.

Well this is depressing: https://twitter.com/LBC/status/1291317883512016898

(If you don't want to click, it's how the government gave millions to a company that hadn't ever even filed any accounts, let alone having any experience in PPE)

The government or PHE/NHS?

I'd be happy to blame the government if it is clearly shown that they did the procurement for this rather than those would normally do PPE procurement...

**edit** it appears the contract was signed by the Department for Health and Social Care according to the BBC:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-53672841

And a bit more detail in terms of specification, safety/quality standards and provision for recall.

There are definitely questions to be answered based on what I read in that article.

The possible/probable conflict of interests and complete disregard for ethics and compliance here is staggering.
