Here's my take on it - there's not going to be a reopening of Britain. Not no chance, no way. Boris will do the theatre of opening, make it look like he fully intends to, but it won't really happen. Why? Because all of this - the lockdown over this stupid virus and the fear of it that's been spreading as a result, the rioting and militant leftist organisations being allowed, nay encouraged and supported by the media across the world, it all feeds into the narrative for The Great Reset. I advise you to Google that phrase, then say I'm a crank. I want you to tell me I'm nuts and this isn't happening. PLEASE do.

Things are being seized my friends. And I'll tell you what, I am no conspiracy theorist. I take all that stupid crap with a pinch of salt. But I can't unsee this. It's OK everyone! They're going to fix it! Hmmm, yeah sure.

Prove me wrong. Lets see how we all feel in a years time. But look at this - we are in the fourth month of this nonsense. FOUR months. Can't go to the match, can't go to the pictures or a show, can't bob for a drink with your mates, can't even get a bloody haircut. I don't buy anymore that this is because of a virus. And I don't buy the stats.

They're now, as expected, trying to prep you up for the next wave. Which will mean more lockdowns and more insanity. In truth, we knew they were going to do this didn't we? And look how they try to frame it. "Those stupid people going to the beach". Yeah those fools, trying to reclaim their lives.

And if lockdown comes again, whether local or national, between now and say the end of the year, who's to say there won't be more of it next year, or more after that? Because it's so easy isn't it? Just send them back indoors. Yeah it's a breeze. You can just switch people on and off like this, over and over for sure, until they go mad and top themselves.

And will the epidemiologists be around to pick up the pieces of those who suffered or even died due to being in lockdown for so long? Do they even understand the bigger picture outside of this virus? I certainly don't think so. What about all those who died simply by being alone, or unable to get help? What will we all say when we potentially finally tally up the figures only to see that the lockdown caused more deaths than it saved? We've not even scratched the surface of what's gone on behind closed doors during all this. I dread to think. And the poor kids too, in difficult home situations, the ones that no one has seen for weeks and weeks. It is genuinely upsetting and distressing.

Ooh look, just in time for Marxism. Lovely, all the champagne socialists want white people dead. I'm sure this will all work out just great.

I think you might be placing more competence on the people in charge than they deserve. :)

Cock up not conspiracy.

We've done this to ourselves. We are now governed by social media. How many of those now most in the public eye are famous for being famous or have leveraged a minor talent into a major asset.

Trump. American Apprentice and general, always on screen, blowhard.
Johnson. Journalist. HIGNFY, comedy relief and also always on screen bloviator.

Personality and public profile is now valued above ability.
Gove actually states We've had enough of experts. Yet now he, Johnson and co assert we are following 'The Science' until the science becomes inconveniently different to the direction they wish to go.

Both the USA and the UK had a plan in place to cope with this epidemic but in the case of the USA threw it out of the window because anything with Obama's fingerprints on it was, in their eyes, evil and in the UK was just ignored as irrelevant or inconvienient.

I'm sorry I don't buy any conspiracy theory attached to any of this as I don't think any of them have the intelligence or ability to even find 'Conspire' in the dictionary.

Although i do believe in considering conspiracies, because some turn out to be true.... In this case of further lockdowns, it is not going to work, one because the Government cannot afford to keep everyone not working, ie, total lockdown again. Its cost a fortune so far, and two, the people have got fed up being locked up and will just rebel.

If they try  local lockdowns as they are considering now for leicester city, it will not work, as the people will just not comply and go days out elsewhere outside the ring.

Thanks for replying guys, you make some good points.

My fear is what is coming next.

We're currently living in a world where we are being told what you knew yesterday is gone. The New Normal. And as such, up is down now, 2+2 no longer equals 4, men can be women, and generally speaking, if you're white you are by default a racist. Not to mention the virus and the fallout of the lockdowns and its effect on the public mental health. A war is being waged on the very way we think, and oh look, here comes those wonderful elites we all trust so much to save the day.

Government incompetence is part of the deal. It's how they are getting this far, and they are attempting to seize on it. Easily discredited figures like Johnson and Trump can and will be removed because the media across the western world has lurched left, and their mistakes are easily exposed. Not hard to make Trump look a wally when he won't stay off Twitter. Easily discredited. Your leaders are fools, look! Tech companies are now in the pockets of the militant left, how the hell did that happen? So that all helps them discredit governments.

It all sounds crazy, but yet there it is unfolding before me. I'm thinking of my own job now, and what value there will be in it as a public facing person if we do eventually open up to the public. I can certainly see a time when I'm watching my own or my colleagues losing their job for misgendering someone or being accused of being racist or something similarly new normal crazy.

Lets see. I still have hope that it's just me going nuts, been inside too long, staring into the abyss of the internet. But even then, that is the tool de jour for this, is it not?

Check your thinking peeps.

I would not worry about that one too much as losing your job in the private sector, has always been easy, especially since the days of 'Thatcher milk snatcher' onwards, this was the reason i went self employed, so I can only sack myself

I remember losing a good job just because I fell out with the reception woman of the company i worked for, over me serving coffee to a rep and myself during a sales discussion, as she said it was against the rules as it would stain the table. I told her what she could do with her crazy rules and carried on, and within a day was called into the office by my boss and he told my services were no longer required as the job I was working on had dried up overnight, but his body language showed that was not true, sweaty brow, sorting his tie, etc. The real truth was that she was the directors bit of stuff and I was booted out. Ever since then I have always been very wary of dealing with women in business.

You survived Jim Davison no longer being able to do Chalky jokes, yelling puffta at other men and wolf whistling any woman in a short skirt.

Hopefully these were because you gained empathy for the people on the other end of these things. You'll just do the same thing again. It'll be fine.

I think you'll survive this!

We still hear wolf whistles on the construction site if no-one knows who the secret whistler is....I have to go round finding the culprit and give them a verbal warning, usually to no avail
