Have to be honest I wouldn't know what an exemption certificate/lanyard looks like.

I don't agree with the dots and I do agree that they send a depressing message out to the world.
Simultaneously, I see why people are frustrated by seeing other people without masks, because I am too. It's a strange situation because on the one hand this is a virus that spreads very easily and kills people, not wearing a mask also endangers the person who isn't wearing it.
But also anytime you challenge someone who has very good reasons for not wearing one, it's dehumanising them.

A bit of a coincidence that this appeared today on GWS

They say steps meant to protect the soldiers could have compounded the problem - including anti-nerve agent medication and the extensive use of pesticides.Seems to fit with your opinion Si.

I need to find a crime, unsolved, that they won't throw away the key for if I claim responsibility ;)

It amazes me how more people are not angry about rich kids giving million pound contracts to rich friends isn't damaging this nepotistic government as much as it should be:
https://goodlawproject.org/update/the-judgment-is-in/
Quote:
The High Court has ruled “The Secretary of State acted unlawfully by failing to comply with the Transparency Policy” and that “there is now no dispute that, in a substantial number of cases, the Secretary of State breached his legal obligation to publish Contract Award Notices within 30 days of the award of contracts.”
...
“The Secretary of State spent vast quantities of public money on pandemic-related procurements during 2020. The public were entitled to see who this money was going to, what it was being spent on and how the relevant contracts were awarded.” The Judge went on to say that if Government had complied with its legal obligations we “would have been able to scrutinise CANs and contract provisions, ask questions about them and raise any issues with oversight bodies such as the NAO or via MPs in Parliament.”

Not at all convinced that the majority of these who claim they can't wear one have even tried. I've Asthma and manage to wear one for hours on end. Admittedly they don't feel that pleasant when you first ever try one but give it 5 minutes and you don't notice anymore. I've never noticed it restricting my breathing in any sense whatsoever so I tend to call bollocks on that excuse for the majority of people. As for not liking it over the nose and mouth then I also wonder do they never wear a scarf over their face on a really cold day, ever worn a crash helmet. Now that is weird when you aren't used to it. As for the excuse they are useless then we have been wearing one or an RPE hood for over a year, 4 nights a week in a Covid environment and both of us haven't caught it yet and lastly i'd ask the same person if you can't wear a mask to protect others too then in future when family and friends are round and you cough or sneeze then why cover you nose and mouth wit your hand. From now on you should just snot your germs out over them! :)

I'm personally not convinced by the efficacy of face masks, but I still wear one as they help to provide confidence for those who are worried about the virus and the effect it may have on them.
Not too much of a sacrifice for me for the odd half hour or so I pop out occasionally...

Needs a bit of research.
I think the days of a night in the cells for knocking off a coppers helmet have gone.
Something that warrants an open prison with access to study for something interesting.

There is some evidence that they make a significant difference, but it's hard to know exactly how they are making that difference (theories vary). I don't think we even know how much exposure to the virus you need to catch it, but they have just started experiments with live subjects on discovering this.
