Election 2019

RJS (undefined) posted this on Monday, 11th November 2019, 11:57

Let's have a break from talking about Brexit and talk about the election! Ok this isn't much of a break is it?

The Tories have been in power for 9 years, and we now have the worst growth in a decade. We have only just avoided an official recession.

Also UK steel is about to be owned by China, which will be interesting, didn't Trump ban Chinese steel? Is he ok with Chinese owned steel from the UK? :)

How can Labour be doing so badly against this awful record? It's like they have an equally dreadful leader or something.

I would guess so as British made steel won't be as cheap I wouldn't have thought, unless the Chinese owners want to run it at a loss...

How did Priti Patel ever get elected for anything. She has resting smug bastard face like I’ve never seen!

I wonder that about most politicians. But then it's easy to realise how many people don't vote, then when you see how few of us actually voted for the winner...

Local news, the Brexit Party won;t be fielding ANY candidates in Kent. Given that it's a predominately Tory county anyway, it was expected that Owen Prew would run in Canterbury, currently the only Labour constituency, but his name didn't appear on the ballot.

Andrew Marr made that mistake a few weeks ago...

i could never support any party with Corbyn in, i really cannot print what i think about him.

My money is a straight fight between Boris, and the Liberals who will just give what little decision making we do have to Brussels.

Just checked and my constituency is the 20th safest Labour seat in the country.
Makes me wonder why I'm bothering as I doubt they're going to end up with only 19 seats however bad it goes.

A little election lightness I encountered yesterday...
