The title suggests the past tense so make sure you get a good editor and proof reader..

I righted a book once...

It had fallen over.

Ella, don't be disheartened - easy mistake to make.

When I was publishing reviews on this very sight, I had to edit them more than once as I only spotted a mistake when it was actually on the site itself.  Odd how that works.

Anyway, what sort of book are you looking to write?

Is it fictional, autobiographical?

Either way, I'd suggest this book as a good starting point for structuring stories:

Just in time for National Novel Writing Month.

Tried this a couple of years ago but life has gotten in the way since.
I did manage to get about 7,000 words done in a month though.

The encouragement is essentially get it written. Don't even stop to correct spelling, punctuation etc just get it on the page/screen

Thank you Si I needed your advice, so nervous about this. I am a lady born in Brooklyn ,New York with High School education and medical emergency tech , with years in cake decorating n a bit in office clerical jobs. This is going to be my biggest challenge and I certainly need all good advices. Well I am going in the direction some biographical and fantasy.

Do it for yourself, even the most famous books in the world have haters, so do it for yourself and anything that comes of it is a bonus.

Express yourself!
