TalkTalk Boost con

Question...When is a fixed term contract of 12 or 18 months, not fixed?
Answer ...if you are with Talktalk.

i have a full broadband and telephone package at a fixed price per month, but Talktalk keep coming up with 'telephone boost' at an additional cost of £1.50 a month added to my cost.

To this day I do not know what 'telephone boost' is, maybe you can tell me?, but it is just a 'con' way of Talktalk adding an additional cost to your so called fixed contract bill.

This is the second time this has happened to me, so I get straight onto the loyalty section, yes, they do have a loyalty section LOL,  and quiz them over a fixed term contract not being a fixed term contract, and tell them I am considering going to a new provider with a real fixed term contract, if this is not sorted.

They resolved the issue by adding one penny to my original fixed term monthly cost, and that's it now fixed term for another 18 months, assuming that fixed term is fixed term LOL.

So beware of 'telephone boost' being added to your bill, without a mention.

Most companies have such additional features, such as caller ID or voicemail.

I'm not sure what your £1.50 boost is though. You should be able to find out in your account settings page on the TalkTalk website.

Thanks, looking at that boost information page, I do already have all that;s written there except International call boost. I have made quite a few calls in the past to Australia, but got charged full price.

I do know I am not getting subsidised phonecalls calls abroad, so I tend to use Emails and Skype back and forth to Oz, which is just part of the internet package.

Just got a feeling they are using boost as an excuse to charge more, and most people would not argue the case.
