New clean air act on the cards

Heard on the news that MP's are calling for a discussion on an updated clean air act to try and bring forward the date for all vehicles to be electric in the UK by 2040.

Also, and this affects me, that all coal fires and wood burners must be moved on to smokeless fuel. So there goes the free falled wood that is lying around from our local forest.

And worse of all is that the above clean air act is a total joke as long as Military tanker planes and commercial planes are spraying chemitrails over villages, towns and cities on a daily basis, in all the 'First world' countries on the globe, polluting the air with barium and aluminium particles, and God knows what else. This gets into our lungs, the soil/food cycle and the water reservoirs, and pollutes us even further.

Very quiet about shipping. Even more so in places like London where there are numerous boats running engines or diesel powered generators which are all burning the lowest grade fuel.
This is from the Transport and Environment site which is a anti pollution lobby that is pressing for all these changes to the inner city. Don't hear them mentioning this paragraph in any articles!

"Why is it important to pay more attention to ship emissions?Air pollution from ships continues to increase as the sector grows. Land-based emissions – SOx and NOx – on the other hand, particularly from fixed installations, have been reduced dramatically at great cost. NOx from shipping is set to exceed NOx from all EU land-based sources in the coming decade."

Interesting about shipping, Andy, never really thought of it as polluting as its all at sea (or oceans), but get your point.

Maybe its time to return to sailing clippers

best you turn off your light bulbs and internet Bandi... as where do you think the electricity comes from to run these... fossil fuels, nuclear fuels... yes there are so called greener cleaner fuels such as wind/solar or hydro, but oh yes, think of all the manufacturing that goes into constructing the factories, and manufacturing the products to produce these... electric cars, green my @r$e...

use less, waste less, and control the birth rate on the planet, we may just all live a little longer!

just my humble opinion...

I suppose if we went fully green, I would have a hard time getting back and forward to Australia in 24 hours
