It was published by the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots, an international coalition looking to ban autonomous weapons, and was shown this week at the UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons.

Worryingly, these are all technologies we already have, according to one of the experts behind the video, computer scientist Stuart Russell from the University of California, Berkeley – the only step remaining is for someone to miniaturise and combine them.

Although this is just a video to show what can happen in the future with miniturisation, it is rather frightening what A.I. can and will do.

Just consider an automated drone in today's world carrying a missile to strike, controlled by humans at a distance. It makes death rather clinical, and more like a video game. But up close these weapons hurt, kill and maim. Soon they will be out the loop of human control, and then we are moving into the realms of 'the terminator'.

And yet these weapon companies will make these devices for profit and greed, no matter what.

God help us all in the near future.
