Page 1 of Best call center nuisance call ever!

Yesterday, in my house, got a phone call and it was an Indian voice, 'here we go again'.....do I put the phone down now.

No, I listened on, and he said, wait for it...

"Do you suffer from nuisance calls"

And I said instantly......"Yes, You" 

Burst out laughing and put the phone down.

Still do not know what the catch was to get money out of me (fat chance), as I ended the call too soon.

So the accent was the first thing that put you off?

No, the accent plus all the chatter in the background tells me its a call center  

Then its either put the phone down, or curiosity just wants me to listen to what the con is.

I made the mistake once of mimicing the accent back to them one time, and he took umbridge and called me back many times to annoy me.

Then I got their team leader calling me a few days later saying humble apologies and the guy had been fired, for going off the head

My wife sometimes gives the phone to one of our girls to speak to them :)

Well I must say yes I have had nuisance calls at the worst time . For example when asleep or taking a shower or cooking and I don't multi task well!
Well a few times they call and speak Spanish and I answer in my Brooklyn accent No no don't speak Spanish so about 10 minutes later an American calls and I answer saying sorry no speak English 😜

At least there are some rules here in the UK about cold calling, that we should not get calls before 9AM and none after 10PM.

It seems to work, most of the time.

It doesn't work here at all , I have family living in other states and at times I get calls from those states by looking at area code , so when I see that area code and I am half asleep I automatically pick up the phone thinking its family only to hear hello how are you my name is Joe Shmore 😡Making me feel like a fool!!So I forget I am a lady and curse like a drunken truck driver!!!!
