UK government to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary.
Would not hold my breathe for the British Government coming to your aid when abroad in times of emergency, more chance of getting hold of the foreign legion. Do you know their phone number?

The brexit good news just keeps on coming:
The UK will have to “concede everything” to get a trade deal with Donald Trump’s America, US policy experts have warned MPs.
US expects us to lower food standards to accept their crappy products and to open up lucrative NHS to US competition. This also opens up NHS to be sued by US firms if they are unhappy how tenders are awarded (as did Richard Branson)
To put the cherry on the cake, the US wants to hijack UK regional foods when they lose their EU protected status, so expect 'Scotch Whisky' and 'Cornish Pasties' just like mama used to make.
Not just poorer but humiliated too.
...can we pay you in speciality jams and scones?

As long as they're labelled as such so I can avoid them.
Until they dump Trump I could seriously be persuaded to a S.Africa/apartheid 'Don't eat those Apples' style boycott.

The main issue is likely to be that once we lower food standards, all our food might well be produced to these dodgy methods to compete (reduced hygiene countered by antibiotics, chlorine washes, growth hormones) so it may not be easy to avoid it.
Food might well be cheaper, but is it worth it?
Once we open up our food markets, this is going to put serious strain on home produced food e.g. Welsh lamb sold 90% to EU (likely to lose that market). New Zealand lamb is now produced very efficiently and would greatly undercut price. Result= end of Welsh lamb. The turkeys really did vote for Xmas and they are now worried about it.

I think it will take a few years of pain and sticking fingers in their ears going, La-la-la-la, before they will agree brexit caused it, and then they'll blame Theresa May for not getting the right deals rather than themselves.

First rule of politics.
It's always someone else's fault.
