I'm not sure people want a debate, they just want a cathartic release. Do you really think either side is interested in changing it's mind?

I'd definitely count myself as on a side but capable of being polite.
There must be a middle ground of people still capable of being persuaded by either side in any future referendum/election.

That still leaves the 40% who couldn't be arsed up for grabs by either side.

I work with someone who voted leave, who says if they knew now, what they thought they knew then they'd have voted remain. I'm not sure that's the same as opinion being changed through debate though, I think it's just waking up and seeing the incompetence :(

Depends on where you see the incompetence though and we'll have a different view on that depending on where we sit in this debate.

Personally I blame both Theresa May and the EU, but probably May more as she had a responsibility to negotiate to the best of her ability and I don't believe that this has happened whereas the EU are just their usual intransigent selves and can't really be blamed for that.

This is why I'm looking forward to seeing whether Boris can have any effect.  I'm not a huge fan, although I like his personality, and never really wanted his as leader/PM but I think we've got to the space now where we at least have to try.  It's only a couple of months in reality, and he'll either force the EU into a re-negotiating the deal that no one likes or he won't.  At least by Halloween we'll know and there can be no argument he didn't get his chance.

This is good news as I always thought the fine from the EC was disproportionate, glad the Judge agreed:
