Pete-mk ..says using the meme.... Democracy. You keep using that word....I do not think you know what that means
Maybe the Government does not know it either, by even considering a second referendum
Once a vote is taken, that should be it.
Also you do not know the reasons why people decide on voting one way or another. So you are making awful assumptions.

Because that's how general elections work...

Well, technically, this wasn't an election, which by its very nature is intended to be constantly re-run. Referendums are a method by which the opinion of a population can be gauged, but they are in no way legally binding, and could easily have been cast aside.

I work in a builders yard. I can make a pretty safe assumption as to why 90% of this particular demographic voted leave.

If that's the case, why was there a referendum at all after we voted IN all those years ago? By your logic, the public should never have been asked to make an uneducated vote in the first place

"This idea of a second vote would make a mockery of a democratic voting system"
I agree. We had the vote in '75 to join Europe and we should have stuck with it because apparently, democracy is a one shot deal and every decision should be preserved in amber.
I'm sure Johnson wishes this one would go away.

I think most people who keep up with the news know full well that Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson (man of the people) will do whatever it takes to become PM, including throwing the entire country under the bus.
He knows that brexit is a disastrous idea and he was never a brexiter, but playing this role has given him a path to leadership.
After his strategy meeting with the vile Bannon, we can see his plan is to drop in the odd right-wing bombshell comment from his enabler (Telegraph) to rile the libs but earn loyalty from the large minority of the "we aren't racist, but..." brigade. Worked well enough for Trump.
Mitch Benn seems to have nailed it.

Another very good (and widely shared) video from Jason Hunter.
We should all be extremely worried about what he has to say.
I know leavers won't watch it/believe it, but they should be worried too.
