I'm a bit late on this but apparently press are reporting that Bozo fired Cummings because his (and his circle's) nickname for Carrie Symmonds was 'Princess Nut Nuts'. I dunno, but I thought there were a few other things he might have thought were more fireable offenses...

Getting first inklings that Nissan are planning to close Sunderland plant.

Quote:
From the gossip column of Automobilwoche (respected German auto industry publication). “According to reports Nissan plans to close its Sunderland plant. ‘A decision has been made and it’s not favourable for the UK,’ said a Nissan manager familiar with the matter”.

No problem, move the workforce onto the future of battery cars.
This is what you will be driving in 2030.....

And this is what happens when you don't watch Top Gear and see how fast electric cars actually are. 😀

They are. But not in the UK.

Honda were going to build electric cars at the Swindon plant. The boats were coming over from Japan with the new tooling and they literally turned them round to sail back when they decided to close the plant for good.

And when most of the current models of ICE cars built in the UK become obsolete (5 years, tops) they will no longer build any cars here in any great numbers. Goodbye UK car industry.

But we'll be able to big up a deal worth £3 a year (or some similar tiny ratio of our overall trade) with some other country cos we're great.

Ste

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

Apart from a few obvious disaster capitalist Tory enablers, I genuinely believe that Johnson and his cronies don't really know what they are doing. It's all just been a culture war to stir up the base to get power. Do they honestly believe that the hard, disastrous brexit we're heading for (threadbare deal or no deal) is going to make us better off or deliver a 'sovereignty' that doesn't exist?

The Bank of England governor has admitted today that no deal brexit would be more damaging to the UK economy than the pandemic. And we chose to do it to ourselves! I guess he's just another remoaner, what would he know.

I would love to be proved wrong but I don't expect to be.

When it starts, and continues, to turn to sh*t I will not be cheering and laughing but if you think I wont be saying 'I/we told you so' often and loudly then you can go forth and multiply after all the abuse thrown in our direction.

Let the remoaning continue.
