RE: [VIDEO] Brexit

My guess is Boris will come back with a deal that's not that much different from Theresa's, but pretend it's totally different (even Reese-Mogg is changing his tone on compromise now he's in the cabinet) so he can blame parliament when they shoot it down again.

The DUP (can't agree with it as it stands) & Corbyn ("a deal worse than May's") say no. Assume the LibDems will put the kibosh in as well.

Doubtful it'll get through Parliament, leading to no more Boris, a GE and probably another ref. Supposed to be leaving in 2 weeks, but then 2 days is a long time in politics.

EDIT: Nigel Farage backs extension and a general election over PM’s deal

Now I'm really conflicted. If the deal gets through, Farage's Brexit Party is a party without a purpose and we'll finally be rid of the insufferable git.

...and just as an addendum, the above image is from The Bangkok Post (I believe), so this is how a country from thousands of miles away sees us. We are a pathetic joke.

Believe it or not believe it:

This is no comment on the actual deal itself as I don't know enough about it yet...

Kinda hard to believe it when it's the Spectator, they don't seem any different from the Telegraph who I'm sure tweeted earlier that not only had Boris got a deal but that the DUP had agreed to it as well, and then deleted the tweet soon after when it became clear they hadn't.

I like my sources to have some level of independence, even if I disagree with them.

Those facts though are either true or false, unless wrapped in legalese that is open to interpretation.  I'm not sure there is actually a completely unbiased/neutral source out there on this.

The DUP issue appears to be only over the fact that the decision over NI being in a 'backstop' type arrangement will be voted on every four years by a simple Stormont majority vote with no DUP veto, which apparently was the case before.   I'm sure that will become clearer if the DUP issue an official statement on their opposition to this.
