Page 1 of Speak to Relative or Not

Has anyone ever had to make a hard decision not to speak to a relative? I have it, took me years to finally close that relation completely off. Why?because that person never really cared only for himself. And if he ever did anything for you ,you later heard about it.And if you didn't he would act like King Henry the eighth.,,like a big fat bully.He demean my mother for years, just before she died in 2013 didn't show her any respect what so ever,Only in front of others he pretended.A few weeks ago he called me saying on the phone answer the phone I am your father , funny it stop calling me after he stood me n my family from going to my mother's funeral. When I finally asked him what happen with the call in telling me the address inviting us to mom's funeral ? His respond I called you No you did not His answer oh well forget about it! That made my mind up no more.I am so tired of lies and act like I am imagining stuffs.Done!

If the guy acts like a creep, sounds like a creep, then he is a creep, and you are better well away from him.

I had an uncle years ago when I lived in Australia who was a communist trade unionist and kept going on about the wonders of communism when we visited him. I eventually said to him "If it is so great why not move to Russia". This was the end and we never spoke again because I refused to go visit him when my family went.

His legacy actually had a knock on brainwashing effect in his own family, as his sons son, went to work in communist China as an interpreter in a Newspaper out there and married a University student Chinese woman, and they have a kid, and still live in China.

I just did not like the brainwashing from my Uncle, so it was best to finish visiting him.

In fact his attitude to me, makes me very wary nowadays of not aggravating any of my own nephews and nieces during discussions with them.

I have a brother and sister, 2 nephews 1 niece and since my mother died i haven't spoken with any of them, i feel sad about nephews and niece but my attitude is s*** on me once nothing i can do about it, s*** on me twice I'm a complete tool for standing for it so i choose not too. Wont go into too much detail but I believe i was 100% correct and don't regret it for a second and told them they would need me before i needed them and i was proved correct.
