Mark Jenkins....not heard from him for years, since the hotel series finished.
Yep, he is as the Australian's say, your typical stereotype of what we think of as a POM

Trust me, I'm a Prime minister
"A snap general election will help the UK make a success of Brexit and provide long-term certainty", Theresa May says.

With absolutely no chance of the Tories being defeated in this election (which gives all parties less than 2 months to prepare), the only questions are how much will she lose/gain, and how much of the electorate that stayed in bed for the EU referendum will finally drag their apathetic arses to the ballot box to make a f***ing difference?

Imagine the great purge of the Russian military and the Night of the long knives all rolled in to one, that is the aim of May ,no more and no less. This dreadful government has been encouraged and emboldened by an utterly dreadful Labour party who have spent the last phuq knows how long doing phuq all other than try to oust their leader rather than being an effective opposition. May and her cohorts smell blood and by phuq they will get it. It actually disgusted me to hear her stating, paraphrase, "Everyone who opposes us should be silenced" . That in essence was what she meant when she derided Labour for having the temerity to consider voting against a poor deal . She derided the "Unelected" H of Lords for their "Obstruction", FFS they are meant to examine every bit of proposed legislation and not merely rubber stamp it. So folks, agree with Mother Theresa or you will be silenced, so much for democracy . I actually fear for the future and wonder what kind of world my grand-daughter will grow up in. The only possible "Silver lining" may be that there could be enough people who voted for Brexit now who take the opportunity to shape the next government and make it far less hard right wing.

You think this is hard right wing? OK...

More like a one party state arriving soon, that's how bad Labour stand.
I wonder if Nigel Farage of UKIP fame will make a comeback as an MP?

Your first statement is hardly fault of anyone bar Labour.
As to your second, I look forward to him failing once more to gain elevation to the House of Commons and will spend June 9th laughing my head off if Douglas Carswell beats Arron Banks.

Si . I was meaning in the event the tory majority is far greater than it is now thereby allowing them to continue with an ever more aggressive attack on all that most hold dear or close to their hearts
