Page 3 of Cheap energy suppliers

Been with octopus for a year now, but hard to tell if there was as a saving as was over in Oz for three months, so house power was on minimum during that time.
One thing though, they do allow you quite a bit of credit before confronting you to up your monthly payments (I am £85 in the red at present, but should claw that back in the summer months by not using heating).
Interestingly they have a gimmick 'get a spin of the wheel' prizes, every time you give them a monthly reading by their webpage, and it is mainly £1 prizes, and one £500 prize likely impossible to get, that is taken off your bill. I have won twice at £1 each time, LOL what a savings.

Green Network Energy are no more, but MSE says not to panic, says what to do, or rather what not to do

that's good, new supplier just emailed me, told me what tariff it is, and it's cheaper than what I was paying before :)
when the dust settles I'll have another check on MSE, but so far seems to be going as smoothly as they said it would.

Octopus told me today via email the big 6 are putting up there tariffs soon, ie energy price hikes again. So Octopus is going up less then them (so the say).
I checked mine as it was changing, as they are giving me three different options of tariff, flexible, fixed or green, so just going for fixed monthly again for 12 months, putting my price up by a £2 a month. Cannot be bothered changing energy provider, as its just a low increase.
went through similar choices recently, having been with EON pretty much since owning a house 28 years (with the exception of a year with EDF... never gain atrocious customer service)... we have now gone to Shell Energy, they were by far the cheapest fixed price choice (gas & electricity) based on last years actual kwh usage, and all there energy is 'green'.
