Pretty sure maps used to shorten the distance to New Zealand, but indicate they were doing it with fancy red borders or something.

What gets me with this Mandela effect which is supposed to be occurring due to either CERN experiments or the recent introduction of quantum computers, is that there is at least one example that bugs you.

Mine is CP30's silver leg in star wars 4, what the? Its like saying Long john silver had a kangaroo on his shoulder.

I checked my DVD, he has a very obvious silver leg and the rest of his body is go!d. Now this is one of my favorite films of all time, and seen it more times than I can remember. To me all Books, toys, magazine's showed an all gold robot.

You may say the gold in certain light can look like silver in the film, and it can, but this one leg is now very (very) silver. How could I miss this?, and I have read everything in magazines about the film over the years and never was there a mention why the robot had a silver leg.

When checking comments on YouTube, for each camp (all gold robot or gold with a silver leg) , both are adamant that they are correct.

Conclusion: either some of us have not seen the silver leg all these years, which to me is impossible, or there has been a merging of alternate realities, where everyone believes in their own memories of their time stream.

This is the madness of the Mandela effect. Weird!

Beware following link has a lot of swearing about C3PO's silver leg suddenly being noticed for the first time, even though the film has been out for decades.....

PS..you will have to add in the edited word yourself to get to the link.

Strikes me as much ado about nothing.

Stuff like this is not pointed out to us so we don't notice for decades and then think Lucas has tampered with it.  I didn't notice and frankly am not too bothered.

There are far more important things to get worked up over...

Sometimes apparently its spelling varied but I've never noticed that either.

Interesting view. What I find with so called Mandela effects, is that it makes you have to think way back to what you remember.

Here is another example...the A team van.

Now I remember it as an all black van with a red stripe, but now we see its a black van below the red stripe and dark grey above. All the episodes show it that way, but Google images have both versions.

What gets me is if it had to be another colour why not a more distinguishing colour, like yellow.

So this leaves one thinking am I right or wrong, as both colour schemes are similar to the eye, but if told about the grey, you then spot it.

I've got up to and including Californication, last time I put that on I remembered why I hadn't listened to it in a long time!
