Aye, they can't help themselves, which I think will undermine the whole process eventually - regardless of the actual truth...

Worth noting though, that while MSNBC's caption notes a few facts pertinent to the hearing, Fox's is pure biased opinion from Trump & the GOP.

And Trump just gave the Dems another aticle of impeachment, intimidating a witness via a tweet during the testimony of that witness.

I reckon they should just stop trying to rein him in. Just let him run his mouth and he'll bury himself without any help.

No, of course it isn't Si. And in fact, that the president was attempting to intimidate her even though her testimony may or may not have had any pertinent information makes his actions all the more aggressive, pathetic & desperate.

Do you have any information regarding the president of the United States accepting any bribes? Yovanovitch: No

At no point in any of these proceedings has the President been accused of accepting bribes. he's accused of witholding aid to a country in return for them investigating a political rival.

Whereas, if I'm not mistaken, Biden admitted to withholding aid from a country in return for them firing one of their own officials.

Not suggesting one is right and one is wrong, if proven both are wrong.

That's been summarily debunked, even though the GOP keep bringing it up at every opportunity, even during these hearings, to thier own discredit.

That depends on your argument.

"That effort by Biden has been used by Trump supporters to argue, inaccurately, that Biden single-handedly had Shokin fired because Shokin was investigating Burisma, a Ukrainian group of energy exploration and production companies of which Biden’s son Hunter was a board member."

That isn't what I'm arguing.

Read again.

No, I read it just fine, and as I say, that narrative was debunked, and is only continually parrotted on the world stage by morons like Rand Paul spouting a false equivalence.

Quote:
A frustrated Biden in December 2015 threatened to withhold $1 billion unless Shokin was fired, in hopes that a new prosecutor would do more to enforce the law. According to Biden, it worked.

At a Jan. 23, 2018, event sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations, Biden recounted his threat to then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and from then-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

"I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours," Biden recounted. "If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a b----. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time."

The big point: On top of the international support for what he did, Biden was representing the views of the U.S. government and its foreign policy analysts.

That wasn't Biden acting for Biden. That was Biden acting as a rep for the current US administration. There is a very distinct difference between Trump's attempted bribery & extortion and Bidens's political discourse
