Well, Trump's gone full-on desportic tyrant, offering the Democrats an 'olive branch', but also threatening them, in public, if they try to obstruct him in any way.

No, I was just being whimsical. Obama didn't publicly threaten the republican party with harsh reprisals if they obstructed him in any way, which is exactly what they did for 6 years

Obama also didn't publicly admit that he'd like to date his own daughter, and refuse to denounce white supremacists who just killed a person in Charlottesville.

He also didn't welcome the leader of a neo-nazi group to the white house not long after banning a white house correspondent and falsely accusing him of assaulting an aide.

They'll just start with his tax returns, which hopefully are not some incredible double-bluff and turn out to be harmless.

I think they're more embarrassing than anything. He's an abysmal businessman (6 bankruptcies and counting?), but like the snake-oil salesman he is, he's convinced his loyal band of morons that you can run a country like a business. You can't, but that hasn't stopped him applying his nationalistic and insular methodology regardless. 

However, once Maxine gets her claws in, I hope she never lets go. This is why Trump is threatening the democrats with reprisals, because he knows full well that he doesn't have carte blanche anymore
