You are taking it all to serious, so have a laugh at an old advert, and see how we all get along with each other

No, you miss my point entirely.

It's not about whether I believe if black people should be treated the same as white people, that's a no brainer.  Everyone should be treated the same way, whether that's just basic human decency, how they're rewarded or how they're punished.

That isn't what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about private companies taking a moral stance and making a profit from it.  I'm not saying they are wrong in what they appear to believe, what I'm saying is would you still be ok with it if the stance they took was different to something you or I believe is right and moral?

The current prevalent societal norm is centre left but what if it shifted too far right?  Because it could one day.  So at the moment, there are clearly Trump supporters who believe this is all wrong and that's why they burnt their socks in a pique of pathetic outrage.

That could be the left doing something as pathetic one day.

And when they do, they'll be just as heartily mocked. But again, you won't find the centre left/left burning their bought posessions in defiance of someone protesting something akin to police brutality. It's a false equivalence

So is the question... how would I react if say a large company ran a campaign celebrating say Alex Jones?

Yes, that is exactly my point.  And why I think companies should refrain from taking a 'moral' stance.

On this campaign, I think that Kaepernick is definitely someone to defend after the s*** he's taken for his stance and actions, but I'm wary of where this could one day lead.

Because they're only in it for the money ultimately.  If they really didn't care about the consequences, then I'd be fine with it, but we've seen a lot of companies make decisions based on faux outrage because they are afraid of being boycotted.

In answer to your question, I like to think I would be disgusted with them, and stop buying their products. I wouldn't burn any existing products, or buy more products to burn, nor would I understand why anyone was doing that. It's stupid, I don't get the point of it.

Yes, I agree, it's all about the money. And yes I also agree some companies have made bad decisions because of a handful of people were outraged and the media gave them a voice in search of an easy story.

On the flip side, some companies have also reversed bad decisions because a handful of people were outraged and the media gave them a voice.

And faux outrage is not a new thing at all, it's just before it came from newspapers, now people don't read them it comes from the internet. So I don't think much has changed beyond how quickly things blow up, which makes me suspect things won't change much in the future either.

Nike's stocks are up 30+% apparently, and while that might be a big middle finger to those who oppose what Kaepernick is protesting about, or what they assume he's protesting, but at the end of the day, it's still a multi-billion dollar indsustry making more money

And let's see if people are still generous when they release their profits, followed by the amount of tax they paid...
