Just heard on the radio Boris has done well as getting the Foreign Minister....

Well Brexit or not, nothing changes....

Tonight we have our MPs debating and most certainly voting to accept new Trident costing at least 34 Billion Pounds, which is an underestimation.

When you consider for years we have been told to tighten our belts, accept austerity, where is the money coming from, maybe from savings we no longer are going to pay to the EU?

Also we have an SNP party who totally reject Nuclear weapons on their Scottish soil, so if the SNP get their way soon to Independence where does Trident go?, as they want it out of their land.

Now, what shocked me during the last Scottish Independance vote that was a NO vote to leave the UK, was that England (Portsmouth and Devonport) did not want the dam thing either. So where do we put a nuclear weapon base that no-one wants near them?

I agree it is a total waste of money though. Only a lunatic would launch a nuclear missile, only a sane leader would respect a deterrent. I suspect this is more about snuggling up to the US by throwing money their way, than any actual deterrent.

Did they ever actually have a plan for how they would deal with the consequences to the local economy if it ever went?
