Mozilla’s new Firefox add-on stops Facebook tracking your online habits

Mozilla is capitalizing on the recent fears over Facebook privacy and data by creating a new Firefox extension that stops Facebook from tracking your online habits. The new “Facebook Container” creates a blue-colored browser tab that isolates your Facebook session from the rest of your web activity. It’s designed to prevent Facebook from collecting what sites you visit, and targeting you with ads and other messages.

I think I need to find a decent how to article on being a-nonny-mouse online.
Suspect it's virtually impossible these days unless you're in the Edward Snowden pay grade. Not that he's in any pay grade these days.

My anti-virus (AVG free) keeps advertising an anonymous feature, ie, cannot be tracked and no IP address shown.

Downside is that I have to upgrade to AVG payable contract , and I do not do that pay stuff on internet, as monthly provider costs is a high enough 'con' in the UK with line rental.

That seems to be the way that it's going to go though as if you're getting something for free you're usually paying for it by giving access to some or all of your data in the T &Cs.

Facebook keeps videos even after you delete them:

The internet has been busy at Zuckerberg's expense

Fact checking some of Zuckerburgs responses:

TL;DR, at best he is misleading about what Facebook do and what you are able to stop them doing, or know what they are doing.
