Mini update to the job situation. I've now been promoted to Reception/Functions Manager. I love my job so much even if it has overtaken my life. Never been happier. Sorry I don't seem to get on the site very much any more. I'm still a DVD Reviewer in spirit x

Just popped by to say hello. Tried to update my profile pic to this one, but couldn't. Tried on three different devices too! I guess some things don't change, eh Rob?  (Okay, I give up now. It's not even letting me post the photo here)

I remember saying I wouldn't be happy until I was the best Hotel Receptionist the hotel had ever had. Well, I found out yesterday that in the two years that I have been there, occupancy rates have doubled, turnover across the board has doubled, and complaints have become so rare (they used to be daily), and they reckon it's largely accountable to me! Now third in command in the hotel, and loving it more than ever. I really found my calling here.

Still alive and kicking. You can't get rid of me that easily!

Sorry, this was another attempt to upload a photo, but it's not having it. I give up now. But you can thank Jackal for getting me back here. He posted a simple comment about liking his post if he had ever made you smile on Facebook, and it brought happy memories of this place flooding back to me!
