House insurance is never a logical calculation, and renewal quotes are always higher up than you think.

I have used comparison websites every year to get the price back on track

As I have said before I never take the cheapest, as from experience they try to limit any claim, and can be a headache.

Most likely I will be onto another company this year.

just got my house insurance renewal quote, nice of them to say old price and new price, i.e. tell me it's gone up £15 rather than me have to find the emails from this time last year. price comparison I can get it £20 cheaper, so let's see if they price match....

I'm with 'Quote me happy com' these past two years and going for them again this year, as their renewal is not much of an increase.

Only downside with them either with car or house insurance, is that they do not do price match. its the one quote or bye bye.

I'm with Swinton this year.
Some rat robbed the house just before Xmas. Got quite a bit of gear.
Swinton were bob on - no problems at all with the claim.

price has gone up £5, which isn't much, but go to comparison out of interest, the company I was with a few years ago, is £25 cheaper than "best" price my current provider will do!

i've started using the Comparison Sites, but by going through 'Easyfunding' each time cars, house, utilities, i have saved money, and even got donations usually £15 each time for the youngest school.

wow, just had a renewal email, policy price has gone up £50, so went to compare site and their cheapest is £40 more than that!
