looking forward to Charlie Brooker on Wednesday

not seen Stick Man yet, but looking forward to watching that as a family, we love the book.

qi and 8/10 cats countdown were standard good.

"normal" 8 out of 10 cats Christmas special was odd, think they tried too hard, no pleasing some ppl ;)

we'll probably watch Sherlock and moan about it, we always watch it, and want to like it, but find it too gimmicky :(

David Walliams and Friend( Joanna Lumley) was bloody awful :(

big fat quiz of the year was good as usual, slightly different line up which made a refreshing change, there's another one on the 5th.

You always end up with at least one surprise film at Christmas, and to us, it was 'Oz the Great and Powerful' (2013).

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1623205/

It was well acted, great scenery, good special effects and enjoyable for all, although the creepy ceramic doll was so frail  looking, its a wonder her race survived (oh they did'nt). The flying monkey was good, plus the evil and good witches again were well played.

Overall, we thought this the best film, that we never knew about.

we just watched the "Celebrity" Couples Christmas COme Dine with me, which was pretty good, Gail Porter was the only name I recognised from the TV guide but recognised the Eastenders bloke when I saw him, I've heard of Union J, but didn't know the guy, funny thing was the "celebrities" didn't knwo who he was either :)

then watched Charlie Brooker, very good,

we know how to celebrate New Year's Eve in this house :)

8 out of 10 cats end of year special was good, better than the Christmas special

There were 2 8/10 Cats? Damn - I thought it was the same one so didn't watch.

Nothing really stood out for me this year. I think because of the "world" we live in where everything you want is now on demand I just tend to either catch up or download. So most stuff that's on I've seen!

On a side note The Reverend is bloody good.

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad

just watched  A Gert Lush Christmas, Russel Howard's one off hour long Christmas sit com. It was pretty funny, kind of predictable, but it's Christmas, made us laugh which is the main thing :)

just watched the first of the Christmas specials for this year - Celebrity Juice, it's a guilty pleasure of ours, was what you'd expect :)

Coming up most interested in Rohld Dahl's Revolting Rhymes, We're Going On a Bearhunt, and of course Charlie Brooker.
