OK, can you tell me the point then.

The point is that the rape allegations, true or not, are being dismissed out of hand.  No one, and i mean no one, under normal circumstances gets to ignore rape allegations or dismiss them out of hand.

There hasn`t been wider talk of these as yet, but Galloway stomping over them with his size 10`s has now brought Rape organisations into the arena over his choice of words.  Watch the story, let`s see where this goes now...

It will be interesting to see Labour`s view on this now, particularly Harriet Harman`s.  Don`t remember seeing anything from HM Opposition up to now.

Not to detract from your point, which is a valid one, I think that the Sexual Assault allegations are being brushed to the wayside because everyone with a vocal opinion has looked at them stringently, and seen them for the weak-arsed fabrications that they are. (IMHO)

I`m not saying they should be dismissed out of hand, a claim has been made and should be answered, but the claims are being seen as a mere stepping stone towards a possible lethal injection in Texas. Once Assange is in Sweden, (if ever), it will be only a matter of time before he`s in the US.

Agreed on galloway. Exactly the kind of mealy-mouthed moron you don`t need on your side. Wasn`t he the one who pretended to be Rula Lenska`s cat once?

By which I mean they should be investigated, and investigated thoroughly. If there`s a shred of truth then it should come to the fore. I`m just of the belief they won`t find much other than a fabrication

MP George Galloway has really put his foot in it with regard the rape case, and what is regarded as rape.

He does mention it being a setup, but mind you he is on Assanges side, but his controversial speech did not help one bit.

Which was exactly my point, but to which you initially replied:

Galloway is just putting into words what a lot of us are thinking, and the USA and the UK are only getting in deeper into the mire.

Yeh, a total sex `set up`, where miss A and miss S are paid or even coerced into making it look worse than it was.

Do you actually think it was coincidential that some sort of charges, in fact any sort of charges were suddenly brought to bear on the man that embarassed the USA. Its a wonder he did not just have an `unfortunate deadly accident` during this time, like they usually do.

OK, we are gettng into a tangle of words here......

What I was thinking at the time was that he mentioned it being a possible `sex setup`.  Which a lot of people would also think.

Sometime in the last week, the phrase "it`s politically motivated" became the new "she was asking for it."

It might have been when MP George Galloway claimed Julian Assange’s alleged crimes did not “constitute rape” or “not rape as anyone with any sense can possibly recognise it”, taking care to mention the potential "connections" of the WikiLeaks` founder`s two accusers.

Or when former Monty Python actor Terry Jones told his 80,000 Twitter followers that sex without a condom wasn`t rape.

It could have even been on Monday evening when a former ambassador for the United Kingdom, Craig Murray, named one of Assange`s alleged victims live on the BBC.
full story HERE

it also states in that report that "the conviction rate in the UK is around 6% for rape".
That is a disgrace.

I don`t believe its a fit up just to get Julian Assange in court.
