And am I missing the point if they don`t "power lace".......?

Some ppl pay silly money for rare/collectable trainers, movie replicas/memorabilia, so there`s 2 markets there. Plus the money goes to charity.

I understand both points, but if they were at a reasonable "collectable" price (say, $100 or so?) wouldn`t there be thousands more BTTF fans who would purchase and therefore increase the charity funds with perhaps a "Special Edition" of them for just the Elite who will be able to afford these ones?

And I still stand by my original point, when I watched the movie I wasn`t that impressed by or had my memory imprinted by the lighting up of the shoes, the memorable point for me was the Power Laces snapping closed and the comment itself of "Power Laces... Cool!" (or words to that effect)

It#s like the jacket, you would remember the one arm longer than the other but if it didn`t "auto size" or "Drying Mode on" ;) would you pay $2K?

All this talk has me now thinking I gotta go rip open that BluRay pack n sit n watch all three of these now :D

"Whose that guy?" were the words on many commentators lips when the first pair of Nike Mag were purchased at an invitation only event this week, and it has been revealed, rather hastily, that it was Tinie Tempah.

I rest my case that "normal" collectors have no chance here against the Elite :(

I saw him doing a similar 'turn' at a live corporate event in the US a year or so ago. I think it's what he does now. US actors seem to have no shame in that regard. I guess they've got to eat like the rest of us..

£619.95 for one pair of self tying sneakers

For that money I can get 40 pairs of normal sneakers off my favorite internet shopping website.

And get this, I can order them with shoe laces that take 1 minute to tie, or velcro ties that take 10 seconds, so there

Yes but you'd also have to learn how to tie your own shoe laces?
