Google denies Google+ death reports
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-15829333
it hasn`t caught on like I thought it would, but what it does do it does well, and although less popular, I prefer it to facebook. I have a couple of interesting celebs in my circles, like Graham Linehan who posts all sort of stuff, as if he really wants to make it work.
Now pages have been implemented, I`ve joined ones for psychocats, openSUSE and Mozilla which do interesting up dates like facebook fan pages.
i think it`s too early to say it`s dead, a lot of ppl seemed to assume on launch it would do everything and then some of what facebook does, but I think google have sensably made sure each bit works properly before adding new bits.
Seems it hasn`t caught on for social game networks either...

Inside the failure of Google+, a very expensive attempt to unseat Facebook
http://mashable.com/2015/08/02/google-plus-history/
is it ironic the article immediately has buttons to share on facebook, share on twitter, but you have to expand the list to include g+ etc ;)
I never got the hang of google+ at all, it just left me completely confused. However, the photo storage app within it - now broken away and rebranded as google photos - is mind-blowingly brilliant.
