Page 1 of Microwave dangers of Electric Smart meters - Refuse to take one

This is going to be even worse than the location of mobile cell mast fights we have had in the past.....

There is an on going program of smart meters to be installed eventually in your home, These send instantainious information on your elecrticity metering and use microwave wireless technology that will bombard you 24 hours a day, right up close and personal.

I have already refused one at my home in the London area, I refused to participate, and got a letter saying you are having one fitted, have a nice day. The electric guy came three times to instal and me and the wife refused him at the door, as the meter is inside the house, and I told my neighbours not to participate in this testing either.

In America they are already campains not to accept this unproven technology, as it may be dangerous to your health, Some states have refused for a year to allow this to be installed until proven safe.

I for one will move to a remote house in a field somewhere and refuse electricity if this comes in force. It is everything I detest, Unproven technolgy that could be dangerous to health and mentality (it could affect the brain) , also big brother watching us.

Here is an extract of what they intend to do in the UK and the USA........
The trusty old "utility meters" are being scrapped. Smart Meters contain 2.4 GHz cell-phone-type data transmitters. These Smart Meters will replace all electric, gas, and water meters. The new meters transmit digital information as often as every five seconds (in some cases) about the quantity of the "resource" that is being consumed, 24/hours/day.. The microwave signals go through walls, in every direction, and have a range of 600 feet (to their local base station, or to the next Smart Meter, which "relays" the data.).

Um, you already have microwave radiation travelling through your body 24 hours a day whether you like it or not. Unless you don`t live near anybody with a mobile phone, or you have zero phone reception where you live.

Much the same as above, by the time we have our mobiles, a wireless home phone handset thingummy bob, a microwave, wireless router, live above a restaurant which is filled with mobile phones a wireless card machine etc, I don`t think it will make the situation any worse to be honest lol

Isn`t 2.4ghz the same frequency as most USB rf dongles ? Like keyboards etc, is the issue with the strength of the signal ? Or should I start unplugging half my equiptment lol :)

Perhaps take a roll of kitchen foil to deflect it back & some poor sod on another planet will get the lot.

Sorry do not have that link as it was taken from another chat forum with no link either.

Its seems going by the replys that you are all not the least worried about all these microwaves sources around us anymore.

We fought and won over the the church recently to prevent a mobile mast getting put up in the village next to the primary school playground, so I am getting paranoid about this subject.

I for one only power up a mobile phone when I need to use it, and keep it powered offf at all other times. When I have to keep it on awaiting a call, I let the wife hold it in her handbag, she is expendable :p

by the way I fancy one of those tin foil hats, does it work ? :D
