It's Lidl Favorina today, you get 12 for about £1.50 according to the person who bought them. they're ok, not as good as the others, but if you have a lot of ppl coming over for Christmas they'll do :)

We are up to our eyed in mince pie's 

Our local supermarket over estimated the amount of pies needed or wanted,  and they had reached their sell by date, so were discounted, I got 10 packs of six pies for 25p per pack, talk about greed 

So we are munching them with cup of teas at home watching TV, and I have given my workmates, four of the packs for lunch break.

When you are working out in a cold frosty winters morning, this is the sort of thing that keeps up the Christmas spirit.

can you freeze them?

Maybe you lose the flavor?

I think you can! I'm sure I've eaten defrosted mince pies and they were just as nice.

popped into Lidl on way into work to get a bottle of the 23yo Whisky for £40, and bought some of their deluxe mince pies. they didn't disappoint. very nice filling, and good pastry :)

We had the M&S luxury ones the other day which were very good, but the Lidl ones are only £1.25 so a real bargain.

My missus bought the "ordinary" Lidl ones, with icing on the top, instead of pastry, I wasn't so keen on them, the filling wasn't anything special, and I don't think the icing top works.
