Page 2 of PLEASE HELP....NEWBIE...CHEAP PLAYER ??

I`d think seriously about it... It CAN easily disable the macrovision, and it`s not a bad price, but i`ve had SO much trouble with mine (and the image quality still suffers occasionally)...
I got the one with the subtitle feature bug, one with a broken PSU, one with a dodgy LCD and my current one vibrates to buggery and a button on my remote is broken. My replacements are always 1-10 days LATER than expected (At one point I had 2 replacements here waiting to be shipped BACK). Could be #5 coming up... If I were Ultravideo i`d stop selling this DVD and work on the next one up the chain (Replace that ESS chip, too)

Strange as it is, i`ve had no problems with my Alba 103 player. I`ve herd all about the many problems other people have had though, so I guess i would really rec buying one.
