Good, sounds fun :) I miss arcade style 1st person shooters, Doom was brilliant, those times when you walked into a room, walls felld own, and there as loads of monsters to kill/trying to kill you, or try to get to fight each other :) Serious Sam was good as well for that sort of thing, but most FPSs are a bit to serious, and end up being a chore, rather than fun  I find when they pit lots of enemies against you at once :(

Got the beta code with Wolfenstien , which was itself a pleasant surprise. Good story line, lots of Nazis to mow down with dual wielded assault rifles or shotguns, violent takedowns. And plenty of health packs, old school style.

Interesting read, assuming you've played the original Doom :)

Amazon Now had Doom available for midnight delivery slots for tonight in the PO area. If I didn't have work I might have been tempted to stay up and spend a beer fuelled night on it.
