Crowd funding is dangerous, as the project (whatever it is) can collapse overnight and bye bye money. See the small print before investing.

I was watching an interesting new plug in bike carrier system in the states, that used the tow holes of a car to screw in bases that would hold each bike wheel. The items were going to be made almost of 3D printed plastic and would be around $100 when finished . Crowd funders were offered first batch at half price if invested, I did not put any money into it, and it did go down the tubes.  Was a good idea though.

I can list a whole bunch of things I have that would never exist without crowd funding.

Prince was such a prolific artist, Warner held him back from releasing more than one album a year... then he was free and releases a 3 CD album Emancipation on Sony... which (as a huge Prince fan) I would say is a great 2 CD album but weakened by being 3.

So there is some truth in that!

Also, from his history, he doesn't seem like the sort of artist that could deliver anything remotely on time, at all... ever.
