I actually think I've not started any new games since then, just trying to slowly finish ones I'm in the middle of!

I would be playing a lot more VR stuff if nVidia would hurry up and release the 2080 series!

Fair point, I always used to hop between games, and still do as just left Shadow of War and the first hour of Yakuza 0 to jump into NMS.

On the other hand, I'm getting much better at actually finishing games these days.  Slow work, but my completed games list is slowly getting bigger...

This year I've finished:

Mafia 3
All the Batman games (Asylum, Arkham City, Origins and Arkham Knight)
Mad Max
Sleeping Dogs
Shadow of War
Assassin's Creed: Origins
Far Cry 5

Recently finished Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, which I absolutely adored. Sort of like Commandos but in Edo-period Japan.

Always had a soft spot for the Lego games by TT. The boys have Lord of the Rings on the Wii, but was never impressed by the low resolution, so got it for the PC and spend the best part of a week after finishing the game mopping up the extras to get 100%

Just got the new Lego Incredibles and aside from some very flashy visuals that actually push my GFX card a bit, it's a much lesser game, with short levels and cartoonish visuals, it's more Lego Movie than LotR. There's a massive free-roam map to mess around in for the extra red and gold bricks, and bizarrly you get to play through the Inc2 levels before the first movie's levels open up for a touch of nostalgia. The voice acting is quite jarring too, with some audio lifted straight from the movies, but then switching to soundalikes for the extra bits reco9ded just for the game. It's mostly ok, but I'm assuming Graig T Nelson wasn't available that day.

It's a fun diversion, but I'm only just starting, I'll let you know if it gets any better

Writer`s Release

Just got God of War. It's the first game I've bought in a while and although it's a major departure from the other instalments, it's pretty good so far. Audio-visually amazing if nothing else! Not really played enough to comment on the quality of the story yet.

Just finished Cuphead - another very tough game.

Still not finished Cuphead, I have just completed Aqua Kitty - Milk Mine Defender though! Really fun modern take on the classic arcade game.

Currently playing:

• Alien Isolation (fun, scary, frustrating, slow, boring, fun, scary, repeat)
• Talos Principle VR
• Rage 1 DLC...

When I completed Rage originally, I didn't get all the car trophies, then completed the game and discovered I couldn't go back. Then built a new PC, somehow mislaid my saves, bought DLC, didn't want to play it all over again to do the missing car trophies or DLC.

Found my missing saves last week, moved them to new machine, completed a bunch of car trophies, next I need to go finish the DLC. :)

Lust for Darkness, I like a bit of H.P. Lovecraft inspired works (minus the racism!), had a HLTB time of a few hours so completable without much of a commitment.

Very poor game, not recommended.

Also started Dead or Alive on the 3DS, the cut scenes are awful!

Really need to go back to Alien Isolation and get further in Cuphead.
