Tinker Taylor

Just finished watching the 1979 7 part TV of this.

Absolute joy.
No car chases, no fight scenes, no CGI of sh*t being blown up just bloody good acting and sparse sharp writing.
Alec Guinness was Smiley to a T.

I remember that one about the man turning into a bee...

Did you ever watch Armchair Thriller?

The Bee one scared me as a child, a bit like The Fly

Don't remember Armchair Thriller... but now going to have to watch.

Have recently also been watching the Terry McCann series of Minder

I remember watching an episode of The Sweeney about a decade or so ago where they were called in to HQ from a red phone box and told there was a hostage situation in a hotel.

They screeched across there in their usual manner to find most of their colleagues in the hotel bar and had a pint or two before tackling the hostage taker.

Quite amusing...

A friend met one of the cast of that programme a while ago, he was very very  very bitter that it's not on all the time like Dad's Army so he hasn't earned any money from it.
