I'll never get the fanboys' obsession with every lightsaber duel having to be an AotC high-flipping, scenery-destroying orgy of acrobatics & vwombing sound effects. The original scene worked well as it was supposed to be a ageing old man who hadn't swung a laser sword in decades vs a 7ft 3rd-degree burn victim squeezed into a mobile life-support machine with a shiny hat.

Once Lucas had full control, it just went insane. Ewan/Neeson vs Park was probably the only decent recent fight as it was real & practical, on a relatively simple set. CG Yoda was laughable & the RotS end battle had no real excitement as we knew what the outcome would be, so no suspense.

Still, good effort.

In my head canon, Vader vs. Kenobi was a fight on two levels, that which we saw, and a mental power Force duel that we didn’t see all happening at the same time.
