Not the train wreck i feared but not a patch on the original (obviously) No angst, passion, anger, hatred, desperation from the Antagonist, and the fact that what happened to kick start his Death Wish is a lot more common place now than it was in the 70's when Bronson nailed the part didn't help either.....
