Still love The Stranglers and I played London Calling (the album) to death."

I never got punk at all, although I liked the odd track I saw on TotP (of which I class Jilted John and Plastic Bertrand) and only got into the Stranglers with European Female, etc when they went more mainstream and synthy.

One of my best memories though was a services school ski trip in 1981 to Bavaria and one of our ski instructors cum bus driver was a squaddie called Skippy who played me Frigging In The Rigging and taught me the words...he also has the Flash Gordon soundtrack as well, which probably explains my love of it as he played it quite a lot that trip...

It was only about 22 minutes which make it more amazing

I never swallowed any of the cool/not cool crap

Not afraid to say that Joy Division always were and ever will be a crock

I've taken so much grief over the years for saying I prefer Paul Young's version of Love Will Tear Us Apart...

Only just realised the Live Aid set in the film isn't 'spot on' and has 2 songs (Crazy Little Thing Called Love and We Will Rock You) cut.
Available as extras on the DVD/BD....
