I know I'm in the minority, but I hated Avatar, brainless rubbish to me.

Well it was one of the most visual Si-fi films ever, and was noted as the best film for 3D effects. (most 3d films have a few things jump out at you and that;s it, but Avatar is 3D throught).

Mind you it was that last ever film I watched in 3D at the cinema, as I am not keen on 3D glasses. I just watch 2D at the cinema now, and its a cheaper ticket..

Sorry but I'm no longer in awe of special effects, the story itself was the problem I had with it. At over 2½ hours, looking good isn't enough.
As for 3D, I can't see 3D as I have an eye disorder.
Definitely won't be going to see any sequels.

I would be interested to see the next one, but do feel that special effects seem to be relied on a bit too much sometimes.

Teaser trailer is attached to Doctor Strange 2 in cinemas and leaked online:

Can't believe it's been 13 years. While the original had its problems, I'm still a thousand times more hyped for the sequels than any of the superhero crap that had infested cinemas for the past decade.

Such a shame that James Horner passed away. Hearing the theme at the end reminded me how great the music for the original was. His replacement, Simon Franglen, has enormous shoes to fill.

I'd forgotten they were even making sequels it has been so long since they said they were making sequels! Well I sort of thought they'd stalled.

I'm still upset 3D Blu-rays stopped being made. Doctor Strange just got a 35/35 review for it's 3D presentation on about the only site I know that reviews that kind of thing.

Perhaps it was just me, but i thought despite the special effects Avatar was overhyped, and boring!

Walked into the iMax yesterday and just caught it. Looks spectacular, but hopefully not more of the same
