Saw this today and my favourite of the newer Kong movies, cracking cast and apart from Samuel L Jackson who for me phoned it in as a usual 1 dimensional character really got their teeth into it, SFX were awesome, nice back story and there is an avengers esque add on after the credits for anyone who cares :)

The new planet of the apes films, have put me right off ape movies at the moment. So will be giving this one a miss, even if SFX,CGI and acting is brilliant.

There is too much choice this year with si fiiction and si fantasy in the cinema, so its more of a decision time which ones to go and see.

Ghost in the shell and guardians of the galaxy2 is high up on my list.

But.....For a great monster movie with far more realism, buy the Korean DVD called 'Host' (with English subtitles).
