The anime is on Netflix, managed to watch it all through on a weekend.  And my niece is nuts over this, cosplays as various members of the corps at UK comicons.

I was pretty meh on the idea of a live action adaptation, but from what I've heard it's pretty good, they divorce it completely from the manga/anime's action roots, and instead go for a post-apocalyptic horror vibe, and with Godzilla's Toho behind the kaiju, it's got the big-ass monster credentials.
