Page 3 of [VIDEO] Suicide Squad
Rob Shepherd says...
"Star Wars Episode 7 was the first Blu-ray I think I've ever bought day 1, and the last DVD I did that for was more years ago than I can even work out."
To this day I've still not bought a Blu-ray on day of release and DVD the last I bought on day of release was "Mean Machine" way back in 2002.
Back on the subject of Suicide Squad, A few mates have now seen it and I keep hearing the same thing "It's okay", "a lot of the characters are underused" & "Not enough of the Joker".
I guess I'll wait for it to come out on DVD/Blu-ray and make up my own mind.

no release date, but HMV
have the pre-orders, including steel book, 4k ultra HD, and other options, from looks of things, most of us will be waiting 6 months ;)
they also have the soundtrack which I've read is better than the film.
Som-one at work saw it and said they really enjoyed it, BUT didn't know much about it before going in, said they were surprised by the negativity towards it.
I did see an interesting piece about how the "stars" aren't in it enough, or rather, not as much as most would like, but whose fault is that? i.e. is the film studio to blame for spending the last 2 years drip feeding the new Joker and the rest of the squad, or is it the media and press speculating and making too much of the little they know.
I haven't seen Prometheus yet either, so I may be off but it reminds me of that. Ppl moaned about Prometheus 'cos it wasn't enough of an Alien film, I thought the title made that clear ;)
Likewise, this isn't The Joker, which we weren't actually promised, but people expected/wanted.
that'll teach film studios not to give the peasents what they want ;)
So I've been catching up on the DC films, and I actually really enjoyed this, it's good dumb action film, it doesn't try and be clever, or bore you with over long clever explanations, preferred it to Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman.
It does seem to be a case as I said before, ppl were confused, and rated it badly, as it not being the film they wanted/were expecting.
Wonderwoman next, then I can see Justice League
Personally, I've only ever seen the extended version, so the plot holes that are usually picked apart are generally lost on me.
now I'm ready
