Looks like Lucas has dragged the last load of milk from a cash cow he`s been draining for years.

May the Mouse be with you.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

Didn`t take long...

I have no positive thoughts about this development at all. I actually think this could be worse than the prequels. Jar-jar nuking the fridge bad...

If they do 3 more, then with any luck they`ll do the Trawn trilogy

I`ve actually got these ready to read, but haven`t got around to yet.  Are they decent then?

yeh, they`re very good, ever since they came out many fans have said they should have been the next films.

They`d have to recast, as they are set just five years after Jedi. Either that or make them CG Clone Wars style.

They can`t do the Thrawn films as live action. No one would accept them as an extension of the original trilogy with different actors. The best bet would be to go back to the Old Republic era and do some big, swashbuckling adventures. Maybe if they didn`t go back too far they could have a younger Yoda in it to satisfy the fanboys.

Sad to say I`m not even remotely excited about this announcement.

I have to say I am quite looking forward to this. The Thrawn Trilogy would be great, but I wouldn`t mind seeing a ghost Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi stylie. Harrison Ford probably wouldn`t want to touch it with a barge pole, but I think he said that about Indy.

Plus, and I may be fooling myself, I can`t see the originals being played about with anymore. George Lucas says that he is selling it for a new generation, now they can leave our belovered generations versions alone.

If the prequels didn`t kill off any idea that Star Wars was a sacred protected quality franchise, surely the Currys ads have?

or perhaps the Yodafone adverts?

I don`t think any of the EU will get a look in. I can realistically see a thirty-years-later scenario being employed, but it will only work if Lucas isn`t involved in the script, production, or directing, IN ANY WAY. However, the following people are still alive and working;

Mark hamill
Carrie Fisher (lost a lot of weight recently)
Harrison Ford
Billy Dee Williams
Peter mayhew (with limited mobility these days, sadly)
Anthony Daniels
Kenny Baker (legend in his own lunchbox, really)
Denis Lawson

Daniels and Baker will be in for certain

Bills to pay. How do you explain Hollywood homicide or Firewall?
